guitar day
By Jesse Morgan | May 6, 2006
so I got a lot of friends to play guitar in the GR area… I’m thinking I should invite them over for a “lets learn to play better” excercise. The best way to learn to play better is to play with other people- you learn new techniques, get practice, etc.
So, anyone up for such an idea? wonko? ogg? yojimbo? silver? beth? rodarmer?
when would be a good time? can we make this a weekly thing?
Post ideas…

Hey there,
If you’re looking for people to “jam with” online, you could do a lot worse than http://www.myvirtualband.com . I’m SteveC there (though I haven’t been active there in awhile… too busy with other stuff.)
BTW, I posted a comment on one of your older posts just now, but realizing it was pretty old, and on reviewing your newer posts, it seems you switched to freebsd, maybe you wouldn’t see it, I thought I’d mention it here… if you’re still interested in midi on linux, you may or may not find this (part of my site) interesting:

I dabble in writing some midi software for linux from time to time.

heh, rumors of my conversion to FreeBSD have been greatly exaggerated.
